Is Lulu Listening? Is Lulu providing support? They are certainly not doing so via their site. So maybe they will address the issues here? Here are my recent cases. If Lulu has any clue about customer support, maybe they will take a moment to respond:
02495721 - Cannot upload any PDF either in a new project or in a revision.
02495447 - When performing a revision on a print book, the existing PDF is missing, whereas it is there when revising an ebook
02495244 - 16 General Access Projects remain missing after three weeks.
02494677 and 02493577 - 159 recently restored General Access Projects are missing their Royalty mark-ups. The ability to restore them is not available because the Design step needs to be preformed first (unlike how it used to be in the old site where price could be changed without revising and since revising causes the existing interior PDF to disappear and since I cannot seem to successfully upload any PDF, I cannot fix this problem on my own.
02493426 and 02493211 - Projects that were previously Private or Direct Access are showing up as General Access. The ability to easily switch access in the old site does not seem to be available in the new site.
Can anyone recommend a good alternative to Lulu???
If I had written my review six months ago, it would have been excellent. I have been a happy Lulu's client for many years and I have published several books with them.
But since they changed completely their platform their site has became a nightmare. Nothing works anymore. They lost all my projects of already published books, they lost my order history, my address book, everything.
They don't send ISBN code nicely and easily in PDF format as they have always done in the past, so it's impossible to add it on the cover of a new book, which cannot be distributed either. The help service is shameful. I have written a lot of emails and I have tried to chat with them. They keep on repeating the same excuses for over two months, claiming that they are working hard and all will be fixed soon. I feel tired and frustrated. I cannot cancel my wrong projects, I cannot orders my books. It's a mess. I wonder who will still use their services now.

I used to be able to select different sizes for my books, so they were like fiction books in size. I don't seem to be able to do this any longer. Not sure if it's just me not understanding my way round but it used to be very easy.
I have been a lulu author for years and lulu has turned into a mess! They are not able to send the correct .pdf files to Amazon, so who know what they are printing. Customer support is slower than slow! If you are lucky, you get a reply within 2-3 weeks. I have a number of issues with them. Some haven't been solved since November 2020. If you want to stay out of trouble, go for another publisher, lulu doesn't do the job! No support, no help, no solutions. They even wipe their Facebook clean. So everything looks shiny ... they don't treat their authors any good.
I also asked on Facebook and the post got deleted. After that I wrote the above and was blocked from writing on Lulu's FB page.
Amazon now sells my books for 60% off. Lulu knows about this since April. Sometimes it is even below my revenue ...

I set a price for my books! And when Amazon sells it for up to 75% off. It doesn't look like a good book ...
Good interior quality! However, the cover of my book is a little more inconsistent. Printing costs are a little much, but I guess that's what you should expect for a book with many pictures in it.
really nice program, I have not ordered yet because I have not yet received the consent from the author but doing the process of creating the book I had a lot of fun
I’ve used lulu to print six books now. Each time, I learn something I did not know before and the quality only improves. I absolutely love using lulu because of how simple and affordable the options are. If anyone was on the fence about using this company, I would absolutely recommend them.
i was very pleased with the final product. I was converting my yearlong blog and pictures to a hard copy. I am not particularly knowledgeable about this process, but the directions were easy to follow and it really required much less time than i had anticipated.
I really loved this, all the books I ordered came quickly and the quality was pretty much perfect. Recommend 10/10
I love this website but it’s hard to publish books that are over 800 pages because they need to become two separate books and also is a bit pricey if you’re looking to publish multiple books
Seeing as I had never imagined that I would even write a book, Lulu made it very easy to self publish!! I now have self published 4 books!!!
